University of Michigan joins the Oasis eTMF Standard Technical Committee

The Michigan Institute for Clinical & Health Research (MICHR) at the University of Michigan has joined the OASIS eTMF Standard initiative.  In joining the initiative, University of Michigan will participate in development of the eTMF Standard to enable the efficient and compliant exchange of clinical trial documents.  With a growing number of collaboratives among research institutions, an increasing number of studies outsourced to CROs, multiple document management systems in use within organizations, and the implementation of cloud-based clinical portals, the need for interoperability and the Oasis eTMF Standard continues to grow.

MICHR enables and enhances clinical and translational research at the University of Michigan and across the Clinical and Translational Science Awards consortium, of which the University is a member.

As of 2011, more than 1,200 unique investigators are supported by the University of Michigan’s MICHR programs and services.  To date, more than 16,000 people have registered in the UMCLinicalStudies.org research volunteer registry.  MICHR is part of a national consortium of 60 medical research institutions funded through Clinical and Translational Science Awards.

We welcome the University of Michigan to the OASIS eTMF Standard Technical Committee.
